I am thrilled to have sold this Limited Edition MV Agusta F4 AGO, number #275 of only 300 produced to celebrate their most successful World Champion – Giacomo Agostini, known to all as AGO.
Above and beyond the normal AGO factory associations, this bike has fantastic links to the man himself where both side panel and seat fairings have been signed by Mr. Agostini himself, then been covered with paint protection film to ensure they stand the test of time.
Also with the bike is a photograph of Ago sitting on this exact machine and signed by him.
Finally the icing on the collector’s cake is the genuine registration that is valid and staying with the bike being: “AG04 AGO“
History shows that in Ago’s competitive life he won no less than 122 Grand Prix races and became the overall World Champion an unprecedented 15 times, which is commemorated by the 15 starred emblem adorning the top of the fuel tank.
The MV Agusta F4 AGO limited editions were produced to launch the F4’s new 1000cc engine, famed as designed in keeping with the inline four of a Ferrari V8 engine, with each bike mounted with a solid gold number plaque on the headstock – this particular bike being No.275 of 300.
Designed in the legendary MV Agusta factory livery colours of Red over Silver, sporting the famous yellow AGO “No.1” roundel, combined with the beautiful red Alcantara monoposto (single seat) embroidered correctly in black stitching.
Fitted with the very best components available in 2004, from upgraded pegs, suspension and braking components, a single seat in keeping with its racing heritage, beautifully contrasting agains’t the satin Gold finish of the Marchesini lightweight alloys and the unique F4 four pipes Arrow sport exhaust tips.
