I am thrilled to have sold this exceptionally rare MV Agusta F4 AGO, one of only 300 produced to celebrate their most successful World Champion – Giacomo Agostini, known to all as AGO.
During Ago’s competitive life, he won no less than 122 Grand Prix and became the overall World Champion an unprecedented 15 times, which is commemorated by the 15 starred emblem adorning the top of the fuel tank.
This particular bike has a little closer association with the legend AGO, as in previous care, the side trim panel was presented to Mr. Agostini where upon he signed the silver paintwork which was then lacquered over to retain this small extra provenance and can be seen on the side of the bike today.
The F4 AGO’s were produced to kick start the F4 change over from a 750cc to 1000cc engine, that was famed as designed in keeping with the inline four of a Ferrari V8 engine, with each bike having a solid gold number plaque on the headstock and this particular bike being No.211 of 300.
Designed in the legendary MV Agusta colours of Red over Silver and configured as a single seater in keeping with its racing heritage, contrasting beautifully agains’t the satin Gold finish of the Marchesini lightweight alloys and the unique F4 four pipes Arrow exhaust tips.
Fitted with the very best in pegs, suspension and braking components available in 2004, all colour co-ordinated to the whole bikes colour scheme.
The bike has all the original AGO factory livery fitted with the Tricolore badging and famous yellow “1” roundel combined with the beautiful red Alcantara monoposto (single seat) which is in fabulous condition and the rear pad embroidered correctly in black stitching.
Supplied with its original factory AGO cover and authenticity certificate signed by Agostini himself, confirming this is No.211 of the total 300 AGO’s, along with a recent email confirmation of the provenance from the MV Agusta factory.
Being part of a collection for many years, the bike has covered a mere 1,319 miles and this is substantiated by the file of records and old MOT’s.
The condition is quite simply, like new.
Supplied from very recent service and new MOT, with new tyres only being fitted due to the original fitted items being past date.
The bike is currently fitted with an Arrow RG3 MV Agusta branded pipe system, but with the original stock pipe also supplied.
A charging point has been fitted for battery maintenance and conditioning, with the charger unit supplied in the sale.
