I am delighted to offer once again this simply magnificent and rarest of McLaren’s – the “MSO HS” – nicknamed the 688HS, finished in bespoke MSO colour named Agrigan black with black Alcantara interior with red accents.
The MSO HS (688HS) is its’ own model, with only 25 units worldwide and approximately only 4 of the original Right hand drive UK cars are now left here, each one had their individual chassis numbers stamped in dedication plaques, with this particular car being #8.
McLaren Special Operations created the HS (High Sport) with a hand built and Blueprinted variant of the LT’s impressive 3.8 Twin Turbo V8, tuned to an even higher performance (678bhp) and with improved delivery of power.
Externally the HS features a host of ultra lightweight and bespoke aerodynamic elements, featuring redesigned front bumper with dive planes, carbon Roof snorkel and the incredible active high level airbrake GT3 rear wing, all help to generate an increased downforce of 220kg at 150mph – an extraordinary figure for a road car capable of such staggering performance, combined with versatile breadth of ability.
Delivered new in the UK to its first owner in November 2016, the car went in to the care of its second owner and private seller with whom it is now being offered.
