I am thrilled to have sourced this delivery mileage Ducati 916 Senna series 1 for its new keeper.
The Ducati 916, designed by the fabulous pen of Massimo Tamburini, is heralded as a masterpiece of modern motorbikes, some would argue about it being the most beautiful bike ever designed and it is certainly one of the most collectable from its era.
The Senna editions was born out of the friendship between the legend Ayrton Senna and the Castiglioni family, owners of the Cagiva parent brand to Ducati. They worked together to create a limited edition run of 300 bikes for the first Senna or Series 1, with livery and colours chosen with Ayrton’s input, with profits going to the Ayrton Senna charitable institute.
This machine is #42 of the S1 bikes, first delivered in 1995 but never registered and after nearly 30 years, still has just 4 pushed miles. Remaining in such pristine condition, I am delighted to have found such an amazing piece of Ducati’s more recent history.
Supplied with the extremely rare Senna bike cover that never looks to have been used, Two keys, the correct Bronze A frame paddock stand and books.
If you are thinking of selling a collectable, limited edition or rare Superbike, please get in touch.
